The awards ceremony for Jim Foran was a very classy affair. There were beautiful flowers and a matching cake with all of the trimmings. Very very nice. Many speakers took part and some that couldn't make it sent letters to be read.

Jim Foran is highly looked up to in the shuffleboard community. It was brought up by two different individuals to name the Washington sportsmanship award the Jim Foran Sportsmanship Award and was agreed by those present but must be voted on by the committee. They say that Jim Foran has set a very high standard for sportsmanship and other aspects of shuffleboard.

The format for the 3rd Annual Larry Hudson tournament was an ABC draw. We had 13 teams (39 individuals) plus spouses and guests making for a full house. The tournament was absolutely great and so much fun.

The Friday night draw was won by Mel Hohn and Chuck Anthony.
