March 18-20, 2005 TACOMA, Wash. — Former Fir Cone Tavern owners Mel and Jeanette weren’t shuffleboard players before they bought the Shelton shuffleboard hot spot several years ago.

Having recently sold the tavern, the Hohns downed a 16-team field to win the A-B tournament at Nifty Fifty’s in Tacoma.

Mike-Kathy Keevile finished second with Al Pease and Bill Walker grabbing third. Mike and Hazel Thorpe finished fourth.
Judy George-Rick Gindt won the Friday night draw with Kenny Simmons-Tommy Freitag second and Jim Tribble-Bill Walker third.
