The annual Forest Festival A-B Tournament at Ernie’s Fir Cone Bar & Grill in Shelton, Washington is one of the more fun tournaments to play in the Pacific Northwest. There is a parade down main street, clowns, pirates, and a lot of activities. Actually, it’s hard to get everyone inside to start the tournament. This year there was an added twist. The 1st. Annual Pacific Northwest Shuffleboard Extravaganza at the Little Creek Casino was the weekend before, and a lot of players were still recuperating from that 4 day event. However, we did get started, two hours later than the scheduled time, with what can only be considered fantastic support from Tacoma, Port Orchard, Olympia, Aberdeen, and, of course, Shelton. Ernie’s Fir Cone Bar & Grill has undergone some changes over the past two years, and it is turning into a wonderful place to play shuffleboard with good food and all sorts of frosty cold adult beverages. Ernie was quoted as saying that he is like Uncle Sam…He needs you.
Ernie would like to thank all the players who pushed past the exhaustion and attended the tournament, and looks forward to seeing more players next year. Mel & Jeanette Hohn will be there to defend their title so come on in and ride space mountain.
360-481-5408 The next tournament at Ernie’s Fir Cone Bar & Grill is the annual Mixed Doubles on July 20 -22. Get a partner and come on out and see the changes, you won’t be disappointed. For more information on this tournament contact Ernie @ 360-426-2221 or Mel Hohn @ 360-481-5408
