Frank, 79 years old, passed away on October 13, 2009, in Las Vegas, Nevada where he had lived since 1979. He was born and raised in Fontana, California, where he attended elementary and junior high school, and graduated from Chaffey High School in Ontario, California.

Frank served in the US Army during the Korean war. In 1959 Frank married June Paulson and moved to San Bernardino, where they raised their two daughters . He is preceded in death by his parents, Juvencio and his wife, June, who passed away in 1990. He is survived by his present wife, Connie; is two daughters , Frankie Zavala of Las Vegas - granddaughter Allie June Zavala, and Linda Zavala of Sandy, Utah; three brothers, Amado Zavala
(Jovita) of San Bernardino, Arnold Snowball at(Stella) of Colton and Juvencio Victor Zavala of Fontana; two sisters, Linda Conte (Frank) of Grass Valley and Josephine Jasso (Ray) of San Bernardino. A gathering of friends and family was held in Las Vegas on October 24.
