Lost her battle with lung cancer and went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2009, at age 61. She passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side. She was the oldest of five children of Marvin and Linnie Doster. She is survived by sisters Sharon Krupicka and Beverly Ward; brother Marvin Dale Doster; loving husband of 45 years, Don Cox and their daughters Sylvia ''Lynn'' Ference (husband Curtis), Rhonda Tiner, and Gina Cox; grandchildren Stephen and James Ference (wife Dana), Britni and Rodney Tiner, Breeona and Dairian Cox and great-grandchildren Andrew, Zachary, Isaiah, and Benjiman.

She was predeceased by her father Marvin Doster and sister Patricia. Donna enjoyed gardening, thrift store shopping, shuffleboard, reading her Bible and took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rio Linda. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Bristol Hospice Sacramento, LLC, 2140 Professional Drive Ste 150, Roseville, CA 95661, whose team was truly a godsend to Donna and her family. Per her wishes the family will not be holding a memorial service.
