DONALD L. KEPPEL, 70, of Fort Wayne, IN, formerly of Wabash, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at his residence. He was a U.S. Navy veteran; a member of American Legion Post 15, Wabash, and New Haven Navy Club. He enjoyed shuffleboard, golf, radio controlled planes and was an avid sports fan. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis M. Keppel; daughters, Laura of Bluffton and Jane of Coldwater, Mich.; sons, Jim of Wabash and Tim of Galveston, Ind.; step-children, Kimberly of New Haven and Kyle of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and brother, Charles (Kathy) Keppel of Jeffersonville, Ind. Service is 11 a.m. Friday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road with visitation one hour prior to service. Visitation also from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or the S.P.C.A.
