Eagles #3934What is the most favorite project a shuffleboard player likes to do on a rainy weekend?.... PLAY SHUFFLEBOARD……

On September 7th & 8th, the weather men did not let us down with 100% rain. The 12 teams that came to play the handicapped challenge were not dampened by the outside gloom and waded fearlessly thru the bracket.  Emerging victorious on the top was Mark Gray and Bobbie Duer of Kansas City, who double-dipped the 2nd place team of Charlie Riley of Houston, MO and Keitha Ellison of Springfield, MO.  Coming in 3rd was the home town team of Butch Tinsley and Jim “Bucko” Stinger, both from Springfield, MO.

Thanks to the players and spectators for their attendance.  Thanks to the ladies auxiliary Eagles #3934 for the great food to keep us sustained.  (You have to try their breakfast, and the hamburgers are the best!)  A good time was had by all.  If anyone gets the chance, don’t forget to ask Bobbie Duer about listening to the rain, sitting on a picnic table ???
