total of 33 players participated in the 2007 President’s Day
tournament February 16 - 18 at Madison Park Bowl in Madison Heights,
Michigan.
Friday kicked
off the weekend with the Handicap Mixed Doubles. A total of 18
players competed with first place going to Alonzo Cottrell and
Theresa Stephens (sponsored by John McDermott), with second place
going to John and Terrie Tischler (sponsored by Jason Papa). Third
place victors were Tom Williams & Jessica Williams (sponsored
by Jason Papa).
On Saturday, competition continued in the four person draft team with 24 players competing. First place honors went to the team of Jason Papa, Jessica Williams, Cindy Brown, and CoCo Brown (sponsored by John McDermott). Second place victors were Frank Blade, Neil Fetter, Mike Cork, and Tom Williams (sponsored by Jason Papa).
On Sunday, 16 players competed in the Amateur Doubles, and six players competed in the Open Singles. In first place in the Amateur Doubles, Don Grossman and Rob Meuller (sponsored by Jason Papa) emerged as first place victors with second place going to the team of Wayne Atkinson and Mike Cork (sponsored by themselves). John McDermott was first in the open) and second place went to Frank Blade (sponsored by Wayne Atkinson).
Special thanks should be extended to Host Jason Papa and the rest of the staff at Madison Park Bowl for the wonderful hospitality.
