It is with great sadness that I share the
news that Sol Lipkin passed away on Thursday, 1/21/10. He died peacefully,
in his sleep from natural causes.
His son, Bruce has provided the following information with regards to
funeral services:
|
Sol Lipkin, 103, of Union, New Jersey entered into
eternal rest on Thursday, January 21, 2010. Relatives and friends are
kindly invited to attend a memorial service at the Menorah Chapels at
Millburn, 2950 Vauxhall Road, Vauxhall, NJ, 07088, on Wednesday, January
27, at 3:00 PM. Family and relatives will be receiving before the
memorial service. The phone number for the Menorah Chapels is
908-964-1500.
Family will be sitting at the home of Bruce Lipkin at 3 Conger
Way, Clark, NJ, 07066 from Wednesday the 27th after the
memorial service until Friday the 29th.
|
Please do not send flowers, as they are not
part of Jewish funeral traditions. Sol's obituary is scheduled to be
published tomorrow, and I will pass it along to all of you at that time.
It was my great privilege to have known him for the past 23 years. Since meeting
him in 1987, he was a source of great inspiration and my life has been much
richer because he was a part of it. These feelings are not unique, as Sol
touched the lives of countless of people. His zest for life and strong
belief in the power of positive thinking will be remembered by all who were
lucky enough to have known him.
Sol loved people in general, but especially the ladies, and it was
definitely feelings mutual.

Farewell Sol, thank you for the memories.
I know you are in a better place, reunited with Margie, and all of your
family and friends who have passed on before you. There will never be
another like you.
